Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have expressed their deep concern for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which is a result of the ongoing Israeli military offensive. This concern was evident during the official meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS) during Prabowo’s state visit to the Kingdom. Both nations have agreed to enhance coordination in delivering emergency aid and broader humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
The official joint statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) underscored the commitment of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia to continue providing humanitarian aid and supporting recovery efforts in response to Israeli aggression. Aside from discussing the situation in Gaza, both countries also stressed their shared determination to deepen cooperation in ensuring international stability and security. They have pledged to collaborate in promoting regional peace and strengthening global resilience.
The meeting, which took place at Al-Salam Palace in a friendly and warm atmosphere, emphasized the strong strategic ties between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Images published by SPA portrayed President Prabowo and Crown Prince MBS engrossed in discussions, with the flags of both countries visible in the background. This commitment demonstrates Indonesia’s consistent foreign policy of advocating for the Palestinian cause and engaging in humanitarian diplomacy on the world stage.
